Alice Tarantal, professor of cell biology and human anatomy, has received the 2014 UC Davis School of Medicine Research Award.
The award was presented to Tarantal at the School of Medicine’s General Faculty Meeting on May 28.
The nomination for Tarantal describes her as “one of UC Davis’ most accomplished investigators. Period. Alice has earned literally scores of research grants totaling tens of millions of dollars in just the last few years. This should constitute the overwhelming independent evaluation of her research reputation at the national and state levels.”
Tarantal received a stipend of $350 and $15,000 to support her research.
