Judy and Harley Inaba, owners of North American Food Distributing Company, started the Sake Fest to promote awareness of pediatric heart abnormalities. Their son was born with transposed arteries and required cardiac surgery early in his life. This event celebrates his recovery and helps children with similar conditions by donating a portion of the proceeds to UC Davis Children’s Hospital, where a team of dedicated pediatric specialists provides diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures for infants, children and adolescents with congenital or acquired heart defects.
