Sacramento’s Entravision radio stations teamed up for the annual Children’s Miracle Network Care-a-thon, which raised a total of $170,304 to support pediatric programs, equipment, research and patient care at UC Davis Children's Hospital. The event is part of the annual CMN Hospitals Entravision Radiothon.
The 2018 Care-a-thon took place over three days in August on Spanish stations Radio La Suavecita 104.3, La Tricolor 99.9 and 100.9 and Super Estrella 98.9 and English stations Hot 103.5 KHHM-FM and 101.9 The Wolf KNTY-FM. Hot 103.5 and The Wolf broadcasted live from the new Children’s Surgery Center at UC Davis Children’s Hospital druing one day of the Radiothon. Combined, the two English stations raised $42,682 and the Spanish stations generated $127,622, making Sacramento the #3 top fundraising Spanish market in the nation for this CMN event behind Los Angeles and Denver.
“We appreciate the partnership with Entravision and their dedication to raising funds for UC Davis Children’s Hospital,” said Michelle Thompson, associate director of Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis. “Patients and their families shared their stories and celebrated the lifesaving care they received. These stories would not have been possible without the generous support of donors and partners like Entravision.”
