Christopher Evans, professor and chair of the UC Davis Department of Urology and president of the Society of Urologic Oncology, will receive the Platinum Award at the International Friendship Dinner on Sunday, March 18 during the 33rd annual European Association of Urology (EAU) meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The Platinum Award recognizes Evans’ expertise and contributions to European Urology, a monthly peer-reviewed medical journal with an impact factor of 16.26. He has been a reviewer for the publication since 2005 and has been published by the journal 15 times.
The annual five-day EAU meeting brings together thousands of urology specialists from around the world to present original unpublished data and share ideas for urological innovation. During the meeting, Evans will deliver a lecture titled “Complications of Robotic Prostatectomy,” chair a basic science poster session on prostate cancer metabolic alterations, and teach the European School of Urology a course called “How to optimize the everyday management of your patients.”
