2017 Lazer Radiothon totals exceed previous year

(SACRAMENTO, Calif.)

Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis and Lazer Broadcasting Corporation raised close to $200,000 for UC Davis Children’s Hospital during the annual Lazer Radiothon held in October. The $198,746 total reflects a 32 percent increase over 2016.

Broadcasting a mix of patient stories, facts and interviews during regular programming, the Lazer Radiothon highlights the quality patient care, programs, life-saving equipment and cutting-edge research UC Davis Children’s Hospital provides. Spanish radio stations 97.9 Latino KLMG, 1060 Reno and 94.3 Radio Lazer KGRB also broadcasted live from the Arden Fair Mall in Sacramento in support of the effort.

“The listener support of Lazer Broadcasting Group and Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis is a testament to the community’s commitment to this shared vision,” said Michelle Thompson, associate director of Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis.
