Superheroes to visit young heroes at UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center
UC Davis pediatric cancer patients and the West Coast Avengers
The West Coast Avengers superheroes will descend on the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center's pediatric clinic, where they will help the children make heroic medals. The superheroes will then pin the medals on each child, congratulating them for superior bravery. The event is sponsored by the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life Davis team, who believe cancer survivors are heroes.
In partnership with the Relay For Life UC Davis, the group has been conducting art projects with the young cancer patients at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center. The West Coast Avengers is a nonprofit organization whose members pride themselves in putting the group’s resources to good use through fund raising, charity work, and volunteerism.
