Live auction and wine tasting event will benefit UC Davis School of Medicine's community clinics
Tickets are now on sale for the 32nd annual Wine Tasting and Auction Benefit at the UC Davis School of Medicine, set for Saturday, Jan. 28, from 6-10 p.m. in the Education Building on the UC Davis Sacramento campus, 4610 X Street.

Proceeds from the Wine Tasting and Auction Benefit are used to support community health clinics operated by UC Davis medical students. For more than 35 years, UC Davis students have volunteered hundreds of hours a year in clinics in Sacramento's inner-city neighborhoods, delivering free, culturally sensitive health-care services for uninsured, low-income and other underserved populations. Such clinics offer many patients their only access to health care.
These clinics train students in delivering primary care services while simultaneously improving access to care in underserved communities. The programs have been recognized nationally as model partnerships between an academic medical center and the community.
The clinics are seeking donations of items for both a silent or live auction. Those who have products, services or other items that can be auctioned may e-mail ucdaviswineandauction@gmail.com. In advance, general admission tickets are $55 and $30 for students. At the door, the tickets are $60 and $35 for general admission and students, respectively.
