Sac Republic FC fans donate art supplies, toys to UC Davis Child Life Department

UC Davis Child Life and Creative Arts Therapy Department collected more than 600 art supplies and toy donations at the Sacramento Republic FC game on June 7 at Hughes Stadium.

Donations requested included infant rattles, lip balm, hair ties, Crayola crayons, Crayola watercolors, Crayola colored pencils, coloring books, play dough, Hot Wheels, sippy cups, fuzzy socks and glue sticks. Donation drop-off sites were at entrances into Hughes Stadium.

"Our department operates solely through generous donations from our community. We can't thank Sacramento Republic FC and its fans enough for bringing their donations for the children staying in our hospital," said Diana Sundberg, manager of the UC Davis Child Life and Creative Arts Therapy Department.
