William J. Bommer

Clinical/Research Interests

William J. Bommer clinical interests focus on sonography (thoracic esophageal and gastric imaging) and intraluminal echocardiography. Bommer is evaluating risk factors for preclinical disease, morbidity and mortality in patients aged 65 or older. His diagnostic cancer modalities include a mouse tumor model with human tumors, using echo contrast and super paramagnetic agents to target tumors. Other projects involve computer simulation of blood-flow models in finite difference analysis, restenosis prevention with time-release oligonucleotide site-specific delivery, bronchial airway circulation, and new contrast agents.
