Philosophy of Care
Dr. Humphries specializes in open vascular and advanced endovascular treatment for arterial and venous disease. Her primary clinic interest is in endovascular treatment of complex aortic aneurysms as well as peripheral artery disease. This has provided her the opportunity to speak on a national and international level about the use of advanced endovascular interventions in the treatment of complex aortic pathology including aortic dissection and aneurysm.
Her research focuses on outcomes and disparities in care for patients with critical limb ischemia. Her goal is to identify new treatment strategies to prevent limb loss in this population with advanced arterial disease of the lower extremity.
Dr. Humphries believes comprehensive vascular care for patients with arterial and venous disease includes management of risk factors as well as disease treatment. She incorporates new research technologies with traditional vascular care and believes that patients should take an active role in treatment planning. Dr. Humphries also welcomes open communication with families in support of a common mission of optimal patient care.
