Philosophy of Care
Dr. Hedayati believes that the key elements for successful treatment of vascular diseases include risk factor modification, tailoring of the endovascular or open surgical procedures to individual patient needs and comorbidities, and patient education. She greatly values open communication with the patient and family members in understanding expectations and formulating a treatment plan.
Dr. Hedayati specializes in complex vascular surgery, including revascularization of lower extremity arterial occlusive disease using endovascular and open techniques, aortic aneurysm repair, treatment of mesenteric and renal artery disease and treatment of varicose veins.
Dr. Hedayati's research interests include outcomes of open bypass and endovascular procedures for lower extremity arterial disease with emphasis on effects of gender and race/ethnicity and the use of stem cells for the treatment of severe arterial disease of lower extremities.
