Clinical Interests

Lorenzo Rossaro is an internationally recognized authority on liver disease (hepatitis C, acute liver failure and cirrhosis). He received his medical training in his native Italy and the United States, where he was a Fulbright scholar. Dr. Rossaro has contributed to a management guide for fulminant hepatic failure, and his contributions to innovative treatments for hepatitis C that appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Hepatology. Dr. Rossaro's research focuses on complications of liver disease. He also is studying telemedicine as a tool to close the gap of access to specialty care from rural areas.
