Rudolph J. Schrot

Philosophy of Care

There is only one bottom line in medicine-the needs of patients and their families. I chose neurosurgery because of my passion for understanding the nervous system and because of a strong desire to see the positive results of my efforts. My goal is to deliver the best possible neurosurgical care within established and evidence-based standards of practice. Medicine is, however, a combination of art and science, and I avoid a "cookiecutter" approach, dealing with each patient individually and responding to the best of my ability to the unique nature of each person's problem.
