Robin Hansen, M.D., is Professor of Pediatrics, Director of the UC Davis Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities and Director of Clinical programs at the MIND Institute. She is a board-certified developmental behavioral pediatrician with vast experience in treating children with neurodevelopmental disorders as well as in clinical research. She has been the Director of the NICU Follow-up Clinic at UC Davis since 1985.

Her clinical research has focused on children's temperament, long-term effects of prenatal drug exposure, gene-environment interactions related to causes; early identification of autism spectrum disorders, and biomedical treatments for neurodevelopmental disorders.

She is currently a co-investigator on several grants investigating gene-environment interactions and immune dysfunction in autism spectrum disorders (CHARGE, MARBLES and the Autism Phenome Project), responsible for clinical assessment and medical data collection and analysis.

Dr. Hansen is the principal investigator for the Community Outreach and Translation Core of the UC Davis Center for Children's Environmental health, with ties to community agencies and consumers critical for recruitment and information dissemination.

She heads a multidisciplinary clinic that provides international consultant to Uganda and Mexico for establishing developmental screening and clinical assessment services.
