Clinical/Research Interests

Dr. Marty Hoffman has been fortunate to blend some of his professional activities with his personal pursuits involving endurance exercise and wilderness adventures. His research has focused on applied exercise physiology, human locomotion, pain perception and human performance, while his clinical work has involved cardiac rehabilitation, musculoskeletal medicine and sports medicine. He has been a competitive cross-country skier or distance runner for most of the last 40 years, with one of his recent accomplishments being the Grand Master (50-59 age group) National Champion of the 2008 USA Track and Field 100 Mile Trail Running Championship.
