James C. Leek, M.D.
Clinical/Research Interests
Dr. Leek has a special interest in musculoskeletal disorders affecting musicians, dancers and other performing artists. He has been a member of the California Arthritis Foundation Council; Medical and Scientific Committee of the Arthritis Foundation's Northeastern California Division; Scleroderma Society of Sacramento Medical Advisory Board; and Performing Arts Medicine Association Research Committee. He is the lead editor of Principles of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the Musculoskeletal Diseases. Leek has conducted wide-ranging rheumatology research, and published more than two dozen articles on septic arthritis, Still's disease, gout and pseudogout, systemic lupus erythematous, rheumatoid arthritis, vasculitis and tenosynovitis.
