Archana Maniar

Philosophy of Care

I specialize in Infectious Diseases because I am fascinated by the constantly evolving rivalry between microbes and man. Diagnosis of infectious diseases requires more than diagnostic testing and procedures, it often requires thorough questioning of patients and a strong clinical acumen. In an era of chronic conditions, the field of infectious disease provides opportunities to prevent and cure disease.

Clinical Interests

My clinical work includes the spectrum of general infectious diseases. I am particularly interested in travel medicine and the care of the patient with HIV. My current research interest includes HIV and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
