Philosophy of Care
Dr. Lim believes that patients and their physicians should work together as a team to achieve their treatment goals. The more information a patient has regarding his or her disease, the more involved that patient will be in their own medical care. I encourage patients to ask questions about their glaucoma eye care in order to stay informed.
Dr. Lim's clinical interests focus primarily on the specialty care of glaucoma patients. Through innovative research on the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma, she is able to offer the latest techniques to protect your vision from this serious disease. As a member of the Electronic Medical Record task force, Dr. Lim is working to bring the latest in information technology to streamline the care of ophthalmology patients.
Dr. Lim's area of glaucoma research includes optic nerve imaging (ocular coherence tomography, OCT), patient compliance with glaucoma eye drop medications, and the influence of personality type on glaucoma. Dr. Lim is active in national and international glaucoma clinical trials and she is the recipient of several research grant awards.
