Philosophy of Care
Working as a pediatrician offers me the opportunity for long-term
relationships with both my patients and their parents. I chose my specialty
in order to be able to care for children while they are sick, but also to
prevent illness through education. Being a mother of two children myself
has made me a better pediatrician. I believe in a partnership between
myself, the parents and the child. In this partnership, I emphasize the
importance of regular well-child checkups during which we all can talk
about nutrition, development, safety and other preventive issues that are
important to overall good health. I try to be approachable, so that my
patients and their parents feel comfortable asking questions. Through UC
Davis, I can offer my patients personal and quality local everyday care, in
addition to referral to top specialists for more complicated cases.
