Philosophy of Care

I love the issues, problems, diseases and challenges of pediatrics. I identify fundamental issues, see how everything interrelates and try to provide my patients with excellent care. I do what is best and correct for each child, with the understanding that illnesses and problems are a natural part of life. My office works together as a family, providing services, knowledge, skills and abilities. I strive to be accessible and to make my practice a model of pediatric care. In my view, common sense, good nutrition and understanding health facts are all important to good health, as is trust in one's doctor and good communication among patient, family and physician. My practice combines the power of the university and it state-of-the-art knowledge with a strong desire to help individuals and families with their health care needs. I am also dedicated to making managed care work for families.
