Research/Academic Interests

As the Principal Investigator of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) for UC Davis Medical Center, Dr. Balagtas oversees all the therapeutic pediatric cancer clinical trials available through the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center. Other research interests include the genetic changes underlying pediatric cancer and translation of these discoveries into effective clinical therapy.
