Clinical Interests: Dr. Balagtas specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric cancers and blood disorders. As the Principal Investigator of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) for UC Davis Medical Center, he oversees all the therapeutic pediatric cancer clinical trials available through the UC Davis Cancer Center.
Research Interests: Particular research interests include the genetic changes underlying pediatric cancer and translation of these discoveries into effective clinical therapy.
