Dr. Schwab specializes in cornea and external disease and uveitis. He is one of eighteen Directors for the American Board of Ophthalmology, the public agency for board certification and re-certification of Ophthalmologists in the United States. He is on the editorial board for the journal Cornea and the British Journal of Ophthalmology and active with the American Academy of Ophthalmology. His research interests have focused on stem-cell grafting, wound healing and comparative ophthalmology.
