Dr. Symreng practices psychotherapy for patients with a wide range of complexities. She offers consultation services for physicians treating patients with chronic pain. Dr. Symreng's teaching activities include weekly lectures and mentoring for medical students, residents, interns and psychology fellows about psychological issues relevant to chronic pain. Her research activities include the psychological aspects of chronic pain for patients in the emergency department.
