Health system's ad campaign wins in second award competition
UC Davis Health System's multimedia "What Do You See?" clinical marketing campaign has earned another award for excellence, taking the silver award for local, consumer mixed/multiple media advertising campaigns at the Sacramento Ad Club's annual "ADDYs" awards event on March 8.
The health system and its advertising agency, SPM Marketing & Communications, submitted three television ads, two billboard ads, three print ads and one direct mail piece. A panel of veteran art/creative directors from major West Coast advertising agencies reviewed entries for creativity, technical excellence and sales effectiveness.
The Sacramento Ad Club is a nonprofit with a mission to improve industry standards, offer social and networking opportunities, recognize excellence in advertising and educate and inform advertising professionals in the Sacramento region. The club is affiliated with the American Advertising Foundation, the oldest national advertising trade association representing 50,000 professionals in the industry.
The ADDY award is the second award in as many ad competitions for the "What Do You See?" campaign. Earlier this year, the campaign also earned gold and "best of show" awards in the Ninth Annual Service Industry Advertising Awards.
The "What Do You See?" campaign's goal is to build clinical volume by highlighting unique UC Davis Health System strengths in a distinctive way. The third phase launched in February with a series of new advertisements across the region's major television, radio, print, online and outdoor media networks. The first phase launched in March 2011.
