Dr. Yang received her medical training at Beijing Medical University in China. She later earned her Ph.D. degree in basic neuroscience field from University of Connecticut. She completed her internship and residency training in psychiatry at UC San Francisco. Dr. Yang currently is the medical director of Crestwood Sacramento Psychiatric Health Facility where she provides care for acute stabilization for severely mentally ill patients with her team and teaches medical students and residents at this clinical site. Dr. Yang’s clinical and research interests include long-term recovery and healthy living of severely mental ill patients and global mental health.
