Dr. Temporini is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry. He completed his residency training in psychiatry at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He further trained in forensic psychiatry at Yale University. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both general and forensic psychiatry. Dr. Temporini has been an expert witness is numerous cases that address the interface between psychiatry and the law regarding issues such as competency, criminal responsibility, and diminished capacity both in Connecticut and in California. He has been a consultant for the Connecticut State's Attorney's Office, the Connecticut Office of the Public Defender, and the Federal Public Defender’s Office. He has served as an expert witness with the California Attorney General’s Office and the U.S. Army. Dr. Temporini has also collaborated with the Connecticut General Assembly on matters ranging from gun control legislation to the management of mental illness in prison populations.
