Dr. Sison has clinical interests in assessment and treatment of attention deficit hyperactive disorder, substance abuse in adolescents, child sexual abuse, mood disorders, and crisis evaluation of children for law enforcement. He lectures on these topics for the Sacramento Police Department, Superior and Municipal Court Juvenile Division, Sacramento County Physicians and Mental Health Personnel, and Sacramento County Children's Services, where he is acting medical director. The Department of Psychiatry selected Dr. Sison as Volunteer Faculty of the Year. He has written a book chapter on emergency assessment/response for acutely psychotic children and adolescents.
