Dr. Quanbeck's clinical interests include cognitive-behavioral approaches to forensic populations, pharmacological management of aggression and violence, and assessment of violence and suicide risk. He completed a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at UC Davis in 2002. Dr. Quanbeck works with the Napa State Hospital Clinical Demonstration/Research Unit and serves as a forensic consultant at Sacramento County Jail Psychiatric Services. His research focuses on assessment and management of violence in psychiatric inpatients, psychiatric illness and how it affects clinical outcomes, and the neurological basis underlying aggression and violence.
