Malia McCarthy is board certified in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. She is program director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training Program at UC Davis. Her clinical work involves the assessment and treatment of adolescents in crisis. Dr. McCarthy is co-editor of the Saint-Frances Guide to Psychiatry, a handbook for medical students, and The Psychiatric Clinics of North America, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry volume for March 2009.
