Dr. Maddock is an expert in the pathophysiology and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders. He studies neurobiological models of the pathogenesis of panic disorder using dynamic magnetic resonance spectroscopy and fMRI. He also conducts cognitive and neuroimaging studies of the interactions between emotion and cognition, with a special focus on memory. He conducts clinical trials of medications for the treatment of anxiety disorders and depression.
