Dr. Leamon is an authority on substance use disorders. He serves as a consultant/instructor regarding drug and alcohol addiction issues for a variety of agencies, including the Sacramento County Mental Health Division and Alcohol Drug Bureau, Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services, Sacramento County Board of Supervisors, and Sacramento County Dual Diagnosis Steering Committee. Dr. Leamon is also active in building community coalitions to improve health care delivery to formerly homeless populations. He is associate medical director for Sacramento County's Outpatient Mental Health Services and medical director of the county's Adult Psychiatric Support Services. He currently sees only Medi-Cal patients enrolled in the Sacramento County Mental Health Plan.
