Dr. Hindes received her doctorate degree from the Department of Psychology at Georgia State University.  She completed her internship at the Department of Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University and her postdoctoral clinical training at the UC Davis Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.  Throughout her training and clinical practice, Dr. Hindes has focused on underserved populations from ethnically diverse backgrounds that present with a range of complex issues.  Her clinical, research, and teaching interests include trauma and maltreatment, family dynamics, and systemic interventions.  Dr. Hindes divides her time between the Sacramento County Mental Health Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services (CAPS) Clinic and the Sacramento County Crisis Unit Minor Emergency Response Team (MERT).
