Psychiatry student interest group

The Psychiatry Student Interest Group (Psych SIG) at UC Davis was formed to bring medical students resources and opportunities to learn more about the field of psychiatry.  We sponsor events, ranging from informal dinners at faculty's homes to panel discussions about topics in psychiatry.

Our shadowing program provides the opportunity for any UC Davis medical student to spend a half day with a faculty member in a variety of subspecialty areas in psychiatry.  These opportunities will increase your exposure to and knowledge in the field of psychiatry, regardless of your intended specialty.  To participate in this program, please click on the shadowing program  link and contact any of the faculty listed.

The following link provides information about other opportunities such as summer programs, fellowships, and scholarship opportunities for medical students.
