Review Course

About the program

This is a four-and-one-half day intensive review course is designed to help radiology residents review the physics medical imaging and related material. The didactic lecture series will focus on understanding the essential physical principles of diagnostic radiology, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, radiation safety and radiation biology. You will be provided with an extensive course syllabus that follows the lecture topics. In addition, several discussion sessions will be given throughout the course to help you assess your comprehension of the material presented. Review sessions on selected topics will also be available in the evenings for those wishing additional or more in-depth study. Multiple review sessions with the faculty to answer specific individual questions will be available. Our goal is to review with you the most important concepts of the physics of diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine and radiation biology, which, together with the discussion sessions, will help you master the information you will be expected to learn during your residency. A hand-held, scientific calculator is required. Please remember to bring one.

Refunds must be requested by July 2, 2013, and will be subject to a $50 service charge. The Health Physics Office reserves the right to cancel this program; in such case, a full refund will be given.
