"Priority 1" specimens are delivered to the laboratory by nursing. Specimens need to be delivered directly to the laboratory section performing the test. This ensures the fastest possible turnaround time.
(The couriers are trained to facilitate communication between the patient treatment areas and the laboratory by carrying your concerns, questions, and/or complaints back to the laboratory for a rapid reply).
