Research support services in anatomic pathology

Anatomic Pathology supports the research mission through the following resources:

  • Cancer Center Specimen Respository (CCSR):  a shared resource supported by the Cancer Center and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
  • Research Histology Services:  a  histotechnologist dedicated to research is responsible for the work from all the Cancer Center clinical trials (including technical work and paperwork related to releasing material),   work related to the Cancer Center Specimen Repository (CCSR), and histology services for researchers at the Cancer Center and  in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.   To utilize the services of the research histotechnologist, please contact Regina Gandour-Edwards, M.D. or the Anatomic Pathology Manager Wendy Widmann.
