Brief biography
Earl T. Sawai received a bachelor's degree in Microbiology in 1981, from the University of California, Berkeley. In 1990, he received a doctorate from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. From 1991-1994, he was a Postdoctoral fellow in the Cancer Research Institute at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). After his postdoctoral fellowship, Earl T. Sawai was appointed Assistant Research Virologist in 1994 in the Department of Medical Pathology at UC Davis. From 1995-2002, he was an Assistant Adjunct Professor in Medical Pathology at UC Davis. Currently, Dr. Sawai serves as an Associate Adjunct Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UC Davis.
Earl T. Sawai is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences, American Society for Microbiology and American Society for Virology.
