M.B. — Graduated in Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt

B.Ch. — Trained in general surgery both in Egypt and in England with special interest in oesophageal neoplasia. Admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow, Scotland

Joined the Huntington Medical Institute, Pasadena in southern California. Research fellow in cell culture, NASA simulated micro-gravity bioreactors; Immunotherapy for transitional cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder and in vitro studies of the cytotoxic effect of Rhodamine-123 on different prostate cancer cell lines
