Dr. Olson received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California at Berkeley before earning her medical doctorate from Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she was recognized for excellence in teaching and leadership in graduate medical education. Dr. Olson then completed a fellowship in surgical pathology with an emphasis in gastrointestinal pathology at the University of California at Los Angeles.
Currently, Dr. Olson is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the UC Davis Medical Center.
Dr. Olson is a member of the American Medical Informatics Association, the American Society for Clinical Pathology, the California Society of Pathologists, the College of American Pathologists, and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.
