Renuka Lakshminarayanan received a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Madras, India in 1990 and subsequently completed a post graduate training program in Pathology in Christian Medical College, Vellore India securing a gold medal. She then did her first year of residency in combined anatomic and clinical pathology at University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and completed residency training in both anatomic and clinical pathology at the UC Davis Medical Center where she also completed a fellowship in surgical pathology. She is board certified in both anatomic and clinical pathology.

Currently, Renuka Lakshminarayanan serves as an Assistant Professor at the UC Davis Medical Center, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.

Renuka Lakshminarayanan is a member of the College of American Pathologists, the American Society for Clinical Pathology and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.
