Research Interests
- Chemokines, their receptors and leukocyte trafficking
- Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) pathogenesis
- Monocytes as ‘Trojan Horse’ for entry into the CNS and AIDS-associated dementia
- Monocytes/macrophages infectious with various pathogens (HIV/SIV, Salmonella typhimurium, Listeria monocytogenes and cytomegalovirus);
- Precursor cell trafficking to liver (for stem cell regeneration and liver tissue repair)
