Hwai-Jong Cheng received his M.D. degree from National Taiwan University in 1989, and his Ph.D. degree from Harvard University in 1995. He had his residency training in Pathology at National Taiwan University Hospital from 1989 to 1991 and completed the training from 1996 to 1997. Hwai-Jong Cheng then went to UCSF and Stanford University to receive a postdoctoral training and became an Assistant Professor at Center for Neuroscience, UC Davis, in 2002.
Currently, Hwai-Jong Cheng serves as Associate Professor, at Center for Neuroscience, at Section of Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior, College of Biological Sciences, and at Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, School of Medicine.
Hwai-Jong Cheng is a member of the Society for Neuroscience.
