Q. Does the Light Rail shuttle run on weekends, evenings, and holidays to the 39th Street Station?
A. The Light Rail shuttle services the 39th Street Station between 6:14 a.m. to 5:34 p.m. Monday through Friday except holidays.
Q. How can I get transportation from the Light Rail station when the UC Davis Medical Center Med-Transit shuttle is not available?
A. The Sacramento Regional Transit Route 38 services the 29th Street Station as well as the 65th Street Station. That route has a timed stop at UC Davis Medical Center. Call their customer service number at 321-BUSS (2877) to obtain a schedule.
Q. I'm a patient and need to get to one of the Primary Care Group clinics. Does the Med-Transit shuttle go to those places?
A. Med-Transit shuttle only operates the three fixed routes (interior, perimeter, and intercampus) described in this web site. Contact Paratransit Inc. at (916) 429-2009 to obtain information about transportation to other medical facilities.
Q. I use a wheelchair. Do your busses accommodate wheelchair passengers?
A. Our busses have lifts that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and are able to accommodate a "common wheelchair".
Q. What is a "common wheelchair"?
A. Section 37.3 of DOT's regulations implementing the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) (49 CFR Parts 27, 37 and 38) defines a "common wheelchair" as a mobility aid belonging to any class of three or four-wheeled devices, usable indoors, designed for and used by individuals with mobility impairments, whether operated manually or powered. A "common wheelchair" does not exceed 30 inches in width and 48 inches in length measured two inches above the ground, and does not weigh more than 600 pounds when occupied.
