UCD/UCDHS Shuttle

The UCD/UCDHS shuttle is a service for persons affiliated with the University of California (this includes faculty, staff, students, interns, volunteers, patients, and visitors.) This service runs Monday through Friday excluding university holidays. All of our shuttles are ADA accessible.

Routes and Stops

Buses provide hourly service from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except Administrative Holidays. Stops on the main campus are Lot 29 (behind Haring Hall on Hutchison Drive), Lot 56 (in the Health Sciences area of campus), and MRAK Hall. At the Medical Center, passengers will be picked up and dropped off at the bus shelter on the East side of  Lot 2.

How to Ride

The UCD/UCDHS Shuttle is a service for persons affiliated with the University of California (this includes faculty, staff, students, interns, volunteers, patients, and visitors.) There is a CHARGE for commuting staff, faculty and students to ride the Shuttle either with a one-way ticket or monthly pass purchased in advance. Drivers do not accept cash.

Boarding passes are required and must be purchased in advance.  The driver cannot wait for you to go buy one at the last minute.

10 RIDE PASS $10.00
MONTHLY PASS $30.00

Tickets and passes are available for purchase at the following locations:

  • UC Davis Medical Center Parking and Transportation Services (PATS) located in the Facilities Support Services Building.
  • UC Davis Medical Center Lot 4 kiosk (by the Cancer Center).
  • UC Davis Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) Office on Extension Center Drive.
  • UC Davis Cashier's Office in 1200 Dutton Hall (first Floor).

Passes Through the Mail

For Mail Order and Pre-tax, Payroll Deduction information for eligible employees, please contact (530) 752-6453 for UC Davis employees/students and (916) 734-2687 for UC Davis Medical Center employees/students.

Patients and visitors do not need a pass.

Trips relating to business require a BUSINESS PASS each way. Business trips include medical students taking occasional courses at either location, volunteers, and university employees attending official functions. Business Passes are available from UC Davis and UC Davis Medical Center departments.

No Standee Policy

Standee passengers will not be allowed on the UCD/UCDMC Campus Shuttle. Seat availability is on a first come first serve basis.

Bicycle Policy

Most shuttles are equipped with bicycle racks, which can carry a maximum of two (2) bicycles at a time. Availability is on a first come, first serve basis. Bicycles are not allowed inside the bus.
