Employees participating in the Green Commuter program may be eligible to recieve a Temporary Ride Share Parking Permit valid for up to 24 days.

Temporary Ride Share Parking Permit

Ride share permits are provided to faculty, staff and students who carpool, vanpool, bike or walk into work or school. Twenty-four (24) courtesies are extended to individuals who carpool and vanpool in to work to be used on days when they must drive in alone. Twelve (12) courtesies are extended to individuals who walk or bike into work and should be used on days they have a need to drive in alone. The Ride Share Permit are given to individuals registered in our Green Commuter program and take alternative transportation to the Sacramento campus.

Permits should be:

  • Treated as cash. If lost, individual should report permit loss immediately to the Parking Services Office.
  • Dated in ink. Dates written in pencil are not valid and are subject to citation.
  • Recorded in consecutive order. Do not skip boxes.
  • Displayed and used in B or C lots only. Permits are not valid in carpool or vanpool stalls.

Ride share permits are non-transferrable and valid only while employee continues to utilize a qualifying alternative transportation method to work or school as defined in the Green Commuter Program.
