Courtesy / VIP Permits
Courtesy permits are available upon request to UC Davis Health System departments for government officials, volunteer chaplains and other persons or groups who serve UC Davis Health System on a non-compensated basis. These permits may be requested from Parking Services and may be recharged to the requesting department.
Retiree permits are available to UC Davis / UC Davis Health System retirees upon recommendation by the University Relations Office. These permits are issued by the Transportation and Parking Services office and are valid in all UC Davis Health System parking lots except metered lots and restricted areas. Retiree permits are to be used for appointments and visits only; these permits are not intended for use by retirees who return to University employment or family members.
When parking as a patient with a Retiree Permit in attended lots, normal hourly rates apply. Retirees can park at no cost for patient appointments in B designated lots.
Volunteer Clinical Faculty permits are issued annually to volunteer faculty and paid by the permit holder or host department. Volunteer Clinical Faculty permits are valid in all UC Davis Health System parking lots, except metered lots and restricted areas.
Volunteer permits are issued quarterly and recharged to the Volunteer Services Department whose responsibility it is for issuing these permits to eligible volunteers. Volunteer permits are valid as indicated on the permit. Special parking is given at the discretion of the Parking Services Manager and the Volunteer Services Manager to volunteers who work late hours. A valid volunteer permit must be displayed when parking on Medical Center grounds.
