Patient/Visitor Parking

Patients and visitors may park in the parking structures or in any of the attended lots or spaces marked as patient/visitor parking. Each lot has a sign at the entrance indicating which vehicles are allowed to park in that lot.

Patient/Visitor Parking Areas:

Parking Structure 1
Located closest to the main hospital entrance, at the corner of Stockton Blvd and Colonial Way.
Operating Hours:
Monday – Friday 6:30 a.m. 11:59 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday 6:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
Parking Structure 2
Located on Y Street next to the Lawrence J. Ellison Ambulatory Care Center (ACC).
Operating Hours:
Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. 7:30 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday closed
Lot 4
Located next to the Cancer Center on 45th Street.
Operating Hours:
Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. 6:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday closed
The current rates in all attended lots are $1 for each hour or any fraction thereof.
Note: attendants cannot accept credit cards for payment at this time.

All parking areas at UC Davis Medical Center not marked for patient/visitor parking, including off-site and leased facilities, are reserved for permit-only parking for staff, government or vendor/service vehicles. To use these areas, vehicles must display a valid permit and/or license plate.

Permits are not for resale and are not transferrable to other persons. Permits are for use by the purchaser only. Only one parking permit may be purchased per person.

5-Day Patient/Visitor Permits

5-Day Visitor Permits are for patients and visitors to the UC Davis Medical Center and may be purchased on a cash-only basis for a 5-consecutive day period at the current rates for such permits. These permits are valid in attended parking lots for the specified period of time at no additional hourly charge. They are not available to staff or students.

Visitor Permits

Books of daily visitor permits may be purchased by departments on a recharge basis. These permits are intended for use by guest speakers, official visitors attending meetings, etc. One-day visitor permits are not to be issued to or used by UC Davis students, faculty or staff.

Courtesy Permits

Courtesy permits are available upon request to UC Davis Health System departments for government officials, volunteer chaplains and other persons or groups who serve UC Davis Health System  on a non-compensated basis. These permits may be requested from parking services and may be recharged to the requesting department.

  • Retiree permits are available to UC Davis / UC Davis Health System retirees upon recommendation by the University Relations Office. These permits are issued by the Transportation and Parking Services office and are valid in all UC Davis Health System parking lots except metered lots and restricted areas. Retiree permits are to be used for appointments and visits only; these permits are not intended for use by retirees who return to University employment or family members.
     
  • Volunteer Faculty permits are issued annually to volunteer faculty and paid by the permit holder or host department. Volunteer faculty permits are valid in all UC Davis Health System parking lots, except metered lots and restricted areas.
     
  • Volunteer permits are issued quarterly to hospital volunteers and recharged to the Volunteer Services Department whose responsibility it is for issuing these permits to eligible volunteers. Volunteer permits are valid as indicated on the permit. Special parking is given at the discretion of the parking services manager and the Volunteer Services Manager to volunteers who work late hours. A valid volunteer permit must be displayed.
