Appeals
Citations must be contested within 21 days from the date of issuance. If you feel that your citation was written in error, please convey your appeal using one of the following methods:
In Person:
You may come into the Parking office at the above address and complete an Citation Review Form.
By Mail:
You may submit a written request for appeal of your citation and mail it to:

Notification of Judgment on Appeals

Notification of the Adjudicator's decision will be made in writing by US Mail. Late fees are not applied while a citation is in the review process.
What can you do if you are dissatisfied with the decision rendered?
You may request an administrative hearing. This request must be completed within 21 days of the decision rendered. Requests received after the deadline date will not be considered. Hearings take place in person or if you are unable to appear, you may request a hearing by mail. In order to exercise this option, you must remit the entire amount of the penalty along with your request for a hearing.
What can you do if you are still not satisfied with the judgment rendered?
If you should wish to appeal the administrative hearing decision, you will be required to file an appeal at Sacramento Superior Court within 30 days of receipt of the response from the administrative hearing examiner. Please note that there is a $25.00 filing fee for this service collected by the Sacramento Superior Court (Vehicle Code 40230).
