It’s time to join the Green Light Commuter Club, and enjoy the opportunity to win great prizes, save money, reduce your stress, all while helping to better our environment.

This club is designed to promote environmental stewardship while enjoying the excitement and opportunity to win fun prizes and save money. Being a member says that you are committed to the reduction of emissions into the environment and air pollution as a whole. We appreciate your commitment to reducing the effects of global warming and are excited about the wonderful benefits you will enjoy by becoming a Green Light Commuter Club member. You can qualify for great incentives by using a commuter choice option as little as three times per week.

Instead of suffering with stop-and-go traffic, you can share rides by taking advantage of our Commuter Choice options:

  • Carpools: Both 2 and 3-person carpools are available at a significantly reduced rate. In addition, 3-person carpools will have a reserved carpool space.

  • Vanpools: A vanpool consists of 5 or more employees, and the cost is determined by how far the van travels one way, and the number of riders it has. A subsidy is provided monthly to each vanpooler to help offset the cost.

  • Transit/Light Rail: Discounted monthly passes and 10-ride ticket book for Regional Transit are available at a reduced rate in our office. Also, a subsidy is provided for employees using other Transit Agencies.

  • Amtrak: A subsidy is provided for employees using Amtrak as a commute option.

  • Bike to Work: For those employees wishing to bike to work, we offer two locked bike cages. If you would like to park your bike at your building, ribbon style bike racks are available. Some buildings have showers and lockers available for bike rider's use.

  • Walk to Work: Relieve stress, clear your head and improve your health by walking to work.

How to Win Prizes

Everyday that you use an alternative commute option to UC Davis Health System, your name will be entered into a drawing for wonderful prizes. Entries must be received at the Parking and Transportation Office by the end of each month. Please do not send any entries until the month is over. FAX your completed form back to: (916) 734-0600 (NO COVER SHEET NEEDED) Remember, the more alternative trips that you log, the more chances you have to win.
