This service manages the removal and reconstruction of benign and malignant tumors rising in the head and neck, including the larynx, pharynx, sinuses, oral cavity, and ears. Small tumors are treated with a course of radiation therapy, surgery or laser excision. Large tumors are often treated with a combination of surgery postoperative radiotherapy. The Head and Neck Oncology Service meets weekly in a multidisciplinary service setting. After being discussed at the tumor conference, patients are presented with a treatment plan.

Speech and hearing rehabilitation and prosthetic dentistry are essential parts of this program.
